In 2018 Mark Lotz went to Poland to perform concerts, hold masterclasses and lecture. There he met the young bass virtuoso Grzegorz Piasecki. The mutual understanding and inspiration was evident, drummer Wojciech Buliński joined and a new exciting ensemble came to live.
Covid-19 sees new challenges. These are accepted and Lotz did concerts in a trio with the young Canadian bassplayer hailing from NYC Zack Lober and legendary Dutch drummer John Engels. Two other concerts (Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out) were done with two youngsters on the Dutch scene: Jamie Peet and Glenn Gaddum. Both two highly versatile musicians which are a guarantee for explosive contemporary jazz.
