When the outstanding Dutch Flutist Mark Alban Lotz agreed to record with Gregory Piasecki (Contrabass) and Wojciech Buliński (Drums) not much indicated that spontaneously organized session will be so fruitful. The registration was made during one day in March 2018 in Wroclaw at the Damrych studio. “The Wroclaw Sessions” is a stellar example of musical chemistry and the essence of the sound. Alert, and with this incredibly vivid percussion percussion and swinging contrabass of Piasecki, Lotz build a rich rhythm basis for the performance. This album has the opportunity to present a very wide range of its possibilities. It’s inspirations are not limited to jazz – in his playing you can feel the strong element of world music and even folk. (Adam Baruch 4/2019)
